Planned Parenthood Action Fund Endorses Attorney General Richard Blumenthal In Connecticut Race for U.S. Senate
The Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, announced its endorsement of Democratic candidate Richard Blumenthal, the current Connecticut attorney general, in the state’s upcoming race for the U.S. Senate.
It was a challenging 2010 legislative session in Connecticut as our state was faced with a $515 million budget deficit. Planned Parenthood of Southern New England worked hard to preserve vital funding for health services, including reproductive health services for CT citizens.
With the start of the 2010 legislative session Connecticut is facing a $515 million budget deficit. Planned Parenthood of Southern New England will be working towards preserving vital funding for health services, including reproductive health services for CT citizens and working to prevent obstacles or legislation that would harm access and delivery to reproductive health care and abortion. The Coalition for a Safe & Health Connecticut recently gave Planned Parenthood of Southern New England its "New Partner Award" for our work to pass legislation phasing out Bisphenol-A (BPA) from food and beverage containers.
